I learned many new skills in project 2. One thing I learned was how to save an image in Adobe Illustrator as a logo so it could be included in the resume. The biggest thing I learned was how to use brackets and I got an introduction to how html and css code work as well. I learned how different fonts, borders, and colors can be changed in css code so they could also be changed in my resume. The easiest part of this project for me was changing the text in the html part of the resume because it was pretty straight-forward and easy to figure out. The most challenging part was getting used to how brackets worked and also figuring out how to save my project because there was a few times where I lost work because I did not put the correct files in brackets. I think my submission could have been improved if I could have figured out how to change the layout a little bit more, but nice I am a beginner to coding I was limited to what I knew and what I could find on the internet. I think I could improve my assignments for the next classes by working on my projects in small increments instead of trying to do them in 2-3 days. Hopefully I can apply my very basic beginners knowledge of css and html coding to future projects. No specific video or reading was specifically helpful but I did use a website that gave explanations of different css features so I could change the layout of the resume.

Project 1
In project 1, I learned how to use photoshop to design a greeting card. Before this project, I was not very familiar with photoshop and only knew the basics of it. Through this project I learned how to create artboards as well as how to create texts that follow vector shapes. The easiest part of this project was designing the text for the card because I already knew how to do that and I liked being able to play around with different fonts and styles. The most difficult part was adding images and masking them because it is a skill that I am still working on. I found it challenging to make the front of my card because it contained the most detail. I could improve my submission by adding more color to the inside of the card because when I printed it I noticed it looked plain without color. I can apply skills I learned in photoshop such as using different fonts and texts for future projects. There was not any specific readings that helped me, but I did find myself google searching a few tutorials when I got stuck at certain points, which were very helpful.
Lab 2
In lab 2, we learned how to remove the backgrounds of images in photoshop. We took two photos, one being the background and one being the foreground, and put them both in photoshop. From there, we learned different techniques we can use to remove the background of photos. All of these techniques varied in accuracy, so the final product of each was a little different. Overall, the most effective technique to remove a background in my opinion is the pen tool. Although it takes the most time and precision, it produced the most accurate result. The other techniques, although easier, did not produce such a precise foreground as the pen tool did. In the future, I will be using this skill for the greeting card I will be making for project 1.
