For this project I based my image off the “Eyes like Saucers” metaphor. This phrase is used most commonly when someone is very surprised by something and opens their eyes wide. I put flying saucers over the guy’s eyes to represent the main part of the metaphor. The background is a fireworks show because I thought that’s a surprising type of event. For the pattern I used it’s a repetition of three symbols. An open eye to represent watching something closely or intrigue. A head with swirls coming out of it to represent a blown mind. And a speech bubble with ? and ! in it to represent both confusion and excitement.
