1. What did you learn? – In this lab we created a background for a desktop. To create the finish product I learned a lot about layer masks that I had not known. |
2. What was easy? – It was not to hard to create the background using methods we had learned. It took me a while to finally pick one but its very intuitive and there are countless options. |
3. What was challenging? – I found it hard to think of a good lay out for the three images I was using. It took me a long time shuffling them around and arranging to get it looking decent. |
4. How could your submission be improved? – About halfway through the project I wished I had chosen a different image. The two hard square images do not contrast with each other well that Is why I tried to alter the edges on them. |
5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class? – I had trouble deciding what art direction I wanted to take with this. It was helpful going through and looking at some examples from precious classes. |
6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? – This was a great practice using adobe photoshop tools. I could see all of this being relevant if you were creating social media/advertisements for a company. |
7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? – I looked through the John Wilhan website to get inspiration for this project. |
