What did you learn?
What was easy?
What was challenging?
How could your submission be improved?
How could I improve the assignment for the next class?
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

I learned how to create an image of a metaphor using two separate images. Being able to manipulate different images in the way that I wanted to in order to create something new on the screen was something that I had never done before.

It was fairly easy for me to come up with an initial idea for my image. When I saw the list of metaphors that was provided, it was fairly straightforward to come up with an idea as to what I wanted to create.

The challenging part for me was actually the same as the easy part. Initially, I had a few designs that I was thinking about but when I finally decided on the one that I believed I could execute the best, I found little trouble bringing my idea to life.

My submission could be improved by doing more pre-planning. Most of the work that I created came right off the top of my head as I was going along and if I had pre-planned what I wanted to do, it would’ve made the work easier to create.

I think that this project could be improved if we were given a shorter list of metaphors to choose from. I understand the appeal of creative freedom, but for a project like this, it could be helpful to have a smaller list of metaphors to choose from that you know will be executed well.

The ability to manipulate real world images is something that will be useful in the workplace as those are the types of images that company’s use in marketing most of the time as opposed to cartoons.

Looking at the student examples from previous years really helped as it gave me an idea of the type of work that was submitted in the past and helped me gain a visual of what the final piece should resemble.
