1. Using InDesign was a new skill I learned during this project. I had never been exposed to that adobe program. It wasn’t as hard as I’d thought it was gonna be in terms of what we were required to do. I also had not had as much experience with photoshop as I thought I did. I learned how to use photoshop at a higher skill level. I got more experience using the photo editor tools like the object selection tool. I had never known you could just edit one object at a time and change the lighting curves and levels, without changing the rest of the photo. I tend to use
2. Although it was the most time consuming, I found the photo editing was the easiest. It allowed you to use your creative and artistic abilities, while also getting to explore photoshop a bit more. It also was very easy and took the least time to use InDesign because you just had to fit the photo to the page and keep adding pages.
3. I found the most challenging part was getting my Html link to work for my webpage. I could not figure out how everything needed to be saved in order for the link to go through. I also found it difficult to organize the files because I could not understand how to properly name them in order for my link to work.
4. My submission could definitely be improved by me taking more photos. I only had a select number of photos and scans to choose from. I also chose to scan photos from a book, which turned out well, but some of them were already very edited, so for it to look a lot different, I had to drastically change them.
5.I really enjoyed this project, I do not think there could have been anything done differently. Online learning makes it a lot harder to learn new adobe skills over zoom. I would definitely prefer to take this class in person rather than over zoom, but I think the professor executed it as well as he could given the current circumstances.
6. I will be able to use my adobe skills moving forward in future classes I take. It is also a good thing to put on resumes that you have Adobe CC skills. Now that I have a more basic understanding of adobe programs, I will be able to further develop new skills and techniques.
7. The video I found most helpful was the InDesign video in the powerpoint. I had never used it, so as soon as I watched it, I was able to figure it out. It seemed a lot more complex than it actually was because over zoom it is easy to lose focus and get distracted. I found the powerpoint most helpful because it gave step by step instructions.
