What did you learn?
In this project, I learned the difference between pure and fused metaphors, how metaphors are used in advertising, how to use mind mapping as a brainstorm technique, and various approaches for combining and editing images in both Figma and Photoshop.
What was easy?
Cutting out components of images, working with adjustment layers, and adding in textures were easier parts of this project.
What was challenging?
Coming up with an initial idea, finding good images to work with, and deciding on how to best piece them together were more challenging aspects of this project.
How could your submission be improved?
To improve my submission, I might continue working on the shadows and adjustment layers added to the cookie to make it blend into the scene better.
How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
I thought that the assignment worked well as is, so there are no specific changes I would make to improve the assignment.
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
In future assignments or work scenarios, I might use mind mapping as a way to think more creatively when brainstorming.
