1. What did you learn?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this project, I learned how to arrange and manipulate text in a way that expresses meaning by making adjustments in details such as sizing, spacing, cutting, and placement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. What was easy?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Technically, this project wasn’t difficult. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. What was challenging?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Creatively, this project was more challenging. Coming up with movies that had a clear enough theme that could be conveyed through type took some time, and then figuring out the most effective way to do that took a lot of experimentation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. How could your submission be improved?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I think there’s still more that I could do with “frozen.” I thought the shattered text effect would be fitting for this movie to create a breaking ice effect, and then I decided to use it just on the “e” rather than the whole word to create a sense of isolation reflecting the isolation that Elsa experiences in the movie. It still feels incomplete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The project instructions were a bit confusing; I think it was because there were so many different lists and examples. Somehow making the instructions more concise might be helpful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After this project, I feel more comfortable working with text in Figma for future projects. I also think the classified list of sans-serif fonts will be a helpful resource to have. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The video showing how to create shattered text in Figma was helpful when working with “frozen.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
