Project 3 Image

Metaphor: Words Cut Deeper Than a Knife
  1. In this project I learned how to create a patterned background in Figma with plugins in iconify and pattern hero. I also learned how to combine images in Figma but instead I used photoshop because I was more familiar with it and wanted better quality for the end product.

2. Since I already knew how to layer and use specific tools in regards to combining images, it was easy to produce the end product I envisioned.

3. As always the time, precise and effort you put into editing your photo is the most challenging. Making sure the photo itself wasn’t jagged and was smooth by using the pen brush was the difficult part of this project. Another part that was challenging for me was brainstorming ideas for my metaphor.

4. My submission could be improved by brainstorming more on the images that I want to combine for my metaphor. Since I haven’t done much brainstorming before, I think more practice will help me improve on my ideas for future projects.

5. I don’t really think there is anything the professor can improve on this assignment for the next class. I think they successfully portrayed what was required for the project and provided sufficient tutorials in Figma and Photoshop on combining images.

6. By practicing brainstorming ideas for this project and learning new skills in Figma, I am able to use these processes towards my future projects. I will be able to have an organized way to start my project and really expand on the ideas I have.

7. Not only did looking at other past student’s projects help me understand what my project required but also brainstorming in class with my classmates helped me start off my project. Hearing others ideas on what my metaphor images could be helped me jump start my project.
