- What did you learn?
I learned how to use all of our past skills learned in this class and compile them all together when designing for a project. We used typography, color schemes, and gestalt principles when designing our stamps.
- What was easy?
I would say that coming up with my concepts was easy but executing them was a little difficult. Since I’ve individually learned how gestalt principles, typography and color schemes work it was easier to implement them then I would have thought.
- What was challenging?
Grabbing all of the materials I needed was easy but it took time and patience to try and fit those materials neatly into a contained space. It was also a challenge making sure each of the components contrasted and balanced one another.
- How could your submission be improved?
Two of my stamps are fitted neatly into a square structure, not overlapping each other while my other two do. Exploring and expanding more of the layout for my stamps would give it a unique overall look.
- How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
I think the professor successfully made the assignment understandable and gave us multiple demonstrations/ideas on how to approach the project.
- How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Now that I know how to compile all of the skills I’ve learned into one project, I will be able to successfully work more efficiently on my future projects.
- How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
The professors demonstrations and the students projects helped me look differently at my composition, typography and color scheme of my project.
