- What did you learn?
In this assignment, I learned how to use different fonts sizes, spacing, alignment and composition of words.
- What was easy?
I found this assignment more difficult then the others because I have not worked with word design before. The more I experimented with the words, the more comfortable I became with my designs and the project.
- What was challenging?
The composition was the most challenging part for me. Fitting and sizing words with also portraying a cohesive image was difficult.
- How could your submission be improved?
My submission could improve by making sure all the dimensions are accurately equal and balanced.
- How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
I don’t think there is much that the professor could prove on for the assignment. Providing links to other students past projects or someone else’s work online for inspiration would be beneficial.
- How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Now that I have learned how to work with typography, I can incorporate these skills in the future with other principles I’ve used like gestalt and color composition.
- How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
The internet and other students work gave me inspiration and ideas for the composition in my project.
