1. What did you learn?
I gained a rudimentary understanding of Adobe Photoshop. I discovered how to use layers, as well as how to use gradients, add text to my card and cut out shapes from images.
2. What was easy?
The easiest part of this project was adding layer effects to the card.
3. What was challenging?
The most challenging part of this project was adding my own images and removing the background from them.
4. How could your submission be improved?
I think that my submission could be improved by adding more photos. I also think that I could’ve used a more creative font throughout the card.
5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
I think that going through assignments at a slower pace could improve the assignment for the next class. The lessons sort of feel rushed.
6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Knowing the fundamentals of Photoshop may be really helpful, and using it effectively can be a useful ability in business situations. If we utilize Photoshop again, this will also be useful for upcoming assignments.
7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
I became more thoughtful about where I placed my images and how I organized my card so that it was more aesthetically pleasing for the consumer after reading the essay we read about the four fundamental design principles.
