1.What did you learn?
I learned how to use the website Figma. It’s a really cool website that I could see myself using many times in the future for different projects or even in my career. I want to be a UI designer and Figma has so many amazing tools for designing, I am excited to continue using this site.
2. What was easy?
After creating the initial design, and having a basic understanding of what you want your design to look like, it was all pretty easy. Creating the color palette, deciding the typography, and creating the header and footer was all pretty simple.
3. What was challenging?
The challenging part was creating the interactions that you could click on and it’ll take you to another page. Also creating the hyperlinks was hard to understand at first. But after I memorized how to do it, it was really easy to do again.
4. How could your submission be improved?
I could have had a better color palette, I think I used too much of that beige-ish yellow but I didn’t want to use white in my design.
5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
This assignment is good as is.
6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Figma is a really fun site to use, I honestly see myself using this even if it’s not for work or school, but just to play around with. A UI designer needs tools like this to make cooler and more interactive site designs so I really do see myself using this in the future.
7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
I used the Figma help site a lot to see how to do things on Figma. Like how to round out the edges of my photos and shapes, flatten texts and other various things I wanted to do to make my website look better.
