Reflection on Jack and Jill project!
What did I learn? I learned how to use simple shapes and concepts to portray something that is bigger or more complex. For example in frame 1 below, I used a simple small triangle to represent Jill as a female.
What was easy? Honestly, I didn’t really think anything was easy. This is all new to me and I have never tried anything in digital design before.
What was challenging? The most challenging part was trying to take the concepts we learned in class and apply them to my frames. I had ideas of things to do but I couldn’t figure out how to do them on figma.
My submission could be approved in many ways. Below is my “fetch a pail of water” frame. I didn’t want the circles to be grey I wanted them to be black. So next time when I submit my project I need to make sure everything is just the way I want it before submitting. After seeing others projects, I think mine is a little bland and lacked concepts.
How can this assignment be improved by the professor? I don’t think the assignment can really be improved. It’s a very simple project that helps us to understand the concepts we have been learning.
How might I apply my knowledge in future projects/assignments? The struggles I faced in this project and the mistakes I made will help me learn and change things for future projects.
How did a specific video or reading inspire me for this project? I wouldn’t say one specific thing inspired me for this project. It was a bunch of different ideas and concepts from the class PowerPoints that put ideas in my head for this project.
