Project 2:Color

  1. I learned a lot about color and color schemes during this project. I learned about complimentary colors, triadic colors, analogous colors, etc… After learning about all of these different schemes, I found my favorite was monochromatic. One big takeaway from this project is using color schemes to enhance any future projects.
  2. I like experimenting with colors and how they can complement each other within my daily life, for example wearing a monochromatic outfit. I found that creating color schemes and finding colors that work well with each other were my favorite parts of the project, as well as the easiest.
  3. Trying to navigate new effects in Figma was challenging. Sometimes, when trying a new effect, it wouldn’t work in the way I wanted it to, so I had continuously retry. Throughout the project I found myself being able to navigate these new effects better than I had when I first tried.
  4. My submission could be improved by adding more depth to some of my scenes. As mentioned before I had a difficult time with the new effects, and as a result, I wasn’t able to create exactly what I had in mind. With time and practice, my skills with Figma can be improved.
  5. For future classes, this project can be improved by requiring certain elements to be put into each scene. For example, for the desert, there have to be three cacti or there has to be a sun in the background. By requiring certain elements into the scenes, not only will the student’s experience in color schemes increase but also their ability to use Figma.
  6. As mentioned before I already apply color schemes to my daily life, however, I did not know about all the color schemes taught. With my new knowledge of these schemes, I can use them to improve future projects in school and work and in my outfits!
  7. One video that helped me the most, was the video about the city/desert scene posted on the google drive. It helped me understand how to use the pencil tool to add dimension to a project.dma214 project2 desert and city figma.mp4
