I used Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Soundtrap to make a video to convey the emotion “Melancholy”! I took all the film and composed the soundtrack myself.

Project 4 Reflection

1. While working on this project, I learned how to edit a film with Adobe Premiere Pro.
2. The easy part of this project was taking the videos. Walking through the cemetery was relaxing, and experimenting with camera angles was fun.
3. The challenging part of the project was timing the soundtrack to match the video.
4. My submission could be improved by incorporating more camera angles and different types of shots.
5. The professor could improve the assignment by giving everyone the same footage so people have to rely more on editing and the soundtrack to give it the desired emotion.
6. I can apply the experience I gained in Premiere and Soundtrap to make my own videos and soundtracks for other projects. I also learned how to synchronize videos and soundtracks.
7. I had to look up how to take screenshots for the blog on the DMA lab computers!
