I used Unity to make a video game!
Project 2 Reflection
- While working on this project, I learned how to build a landscape and insert a playable character in the Unity game engine.
- The easy part of this project was making the landscape. Painting textures and sculpting the landscape was a lot of fun!
- The challenging part of the project was rigging the lighting to be just right and give the game a proper feel.
- My submission could be improved by incorporating more assets and giving the player more objectives to work towards.
- The professor could improve the assignment by updating the technical instructions on the powerpoint for the latest Unity version.
- I can apply the experience I gained in Unity towards other 3D modeling projects in the future, such as making models in Blender. Learning how to move around and orient myself in a 3D modeling program was especially helpful.
- I had to look up how to install the latest Unity driver, because the Unity Hub app on my computer was having technical issues.
