During this assignment, I learned the fundamentals of photoshop. I learned how to create new layers and erase a background from an embedded photo. At first, photoshop was a little difficult, but once I learned how to navigate all the buttons, it started to make sense. The most challenging part of the assignment for me was designing the card. I had many different layouts planned out and kept re-doing all of it. But in the end I liked how my final design turned out. I think my submission could be improved was having more photos within it. I created all of my text that I put into my card by writing it on my Ipad and embedding onto photoshop. This could be improved because even though I wanted my Valentine’s Day card in my own handwriting, it probably would’ve been neater.
I really enjoyed this assignment. There is nothing I feel like would need to be improved other than the possibility of printing on card stock. We tried but the printer wasn’t able to process the thick paper. The cards still turned out very well, but thicker paper would have been nice. I am planning on using the beginning steps of starting a project in the future, as well as the possibility of continuing my work with photoshop if my job requires it.
