For this project we created maps in illustrator for certain locations. I did Pioneer Camp & Retreat Center which I worked as a camp counselor for 2 years and went as a camper for over 10. The place is closing in 2021 so I figured doing it for my map would be a fun way to cope. I learned how to manipulate shapes, like the circle, and warp them, like the banner. Switching to different layers was difficult and I often ended up putting objects of layers I didn\u2019t intend to. I think I would\u2019ve like to make the map more abstract rather than as accurate as it is and make all the objects facing one way with shaping. However I decided the best way to fit all the objects is to put them exactly where they are. Making larger projects like this is a good skill to know when it comes to illustrator and I feel doing this project has helped me prepare for bigger things in the future. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
