    My original plan was to design a project around local food in the city (Buffalo Ate); but this expanded to include areas of interest in the city. Buffalo is rich with history and architecture. During the turn of the century, Buffalo grew significantly as a result of immigration and the construction of the Erie Canal. This growth provided fresh water and an strong trade route to the Midwest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Buffalo’s economy has transitioned to service industries with an emphasis on healthcare, research and higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
