What did you learn? I learned how to create my own merch and print it out on a t-shirt as well as printed stickers.
What was easy? It was easy to create the designs. I used Figma which is a software I am comfortable with and could create my designs rather quickly.
What was challenging? It was challenging to figure out how to use the Cricut machines in the lab. However, once I learned how to operate each individual machine and software I could make a t-shirt fairly quickly.
How could your submission be improved? I could have spent more time cutting out the stickers or used a different material for the stickers themselves. I also could have done the silk screen technique for creating the t-shirt so it would last longer and be higher quality.
How could the professor improve the assignment? I wish there were written directions on how to use the Cricut software and machines. I found it challenging to work through the steps without written directions.
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? It is extremely helpful to know how to create t-shirts in the lab. I may need to use the heat press in a future assignment or for personal projects.
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? This website helped me determine a color scheme for my merch which then helped me come up with the overall designs.
