1. What did you learn?
I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop, including the basics. I learned how to do different layers, including how to cut a shape out of an image, use gradients, and add text to my card.
2. What was easy?
The easiest part of this project was doing the gradients and adding text to the card. It was still a little challenging but I found this to be the easiest part of the project.
3. What was challenging?
The most challenging part of this project was inserting images and cutting shapes out of them, so object selection. Another difficult part was trying to put text on a shape and having a curved path.
4. How could your submission be improved?
My submission could have been improved by maybe adding more images or more text to the card. I also could have gotten more creative with the images I did use.
5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
I think that going slower while going through the project might improve the assignment for the next class. This could help people who have never used photoshop be able to not rush through it as much.
6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Using photoshop can be a useful skill in work scenarios and at least knowing the basics can be extremely helpful. This can also help in future assignments if we use photoshop again.
7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
The article that we read on the 4 basic design principles helped me to be more conscious of how I place my text and structured my card so that it was better to look at.
8. Post images of your work.
