1. What did you learn?
I learned how to make my own short film using Adobe Premiere, also while making my own soundtrack on the Soundtrap website, and creating my own animation in Adobe Animate.
2. What was easy?
Making the soundtrack for the video was the easiest part of this project
3. What was challenging?
Using Adobe Premiere was the most challenging for me, when it came to figuring out its features and how to use the program itself to make a cohesive video.
4. How could your submission be improved?
I could have taken more videos of different things to add to my video at the end instead of using the same type of clips
5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
Maybe by spending more time going over Premiere and its features since it is a pretty challenging program.
6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
This can help me with making animations and editing video clips if I ever find myself needing to do this again in a work or educational setting.
7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
The website that showed how to make the background of the animation transparent was the most helpful to me as it helped me be able to put in my animation and put the text in it over a video clip in my film.
Reflect about your emotion, how you expressed it in your video, things you liked, didn’t like, etc. Mention a tip, insight, or inspiration from one of the readings in your blog reflection.
My emotion was serenity. I expressed it in my video through the use of filming things that make me feel serene, such as flowers and springtime activities. The music that I made from my own soundtrack was meant to add to that serene feeling my video is aiming to omit. I would say be mindful of what the emotion you are trying to express is as you film and make your soundtrack as it will make your project have a lot more cohesiveness to it and it will all mesh together better.
