Project 3

1. What did you learn?

I learned a lot more about building games with unreal engine.

2. What was easy?

Using the base assets.

3. What was challenging?

making custom assets look good.

4. How could your submission be improved?

better lighting, more busyness (kinda empty), and more custom textures and assets.

5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?

introduce how to have randomness present within custom textures, it helps them look amazing.

6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

I can use my new knowledge of Unreal to kickstart my plan of eventually making a game,

7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?

I watched a video on making textures more random which helped me make my custom texture look really good.

8. Post images of your work.

An overview of my gallery

I split it into quadrants, each with an asset modeled after a real-world item.

Q1, an umbrella.

A simple yet cool umbrella on a golden pedestal.

Q2. a weird chimney

kinda went for a train chimney thing here.

Q3, a Lamp

I like how this one came out, made it spark too.

Q4, a pop can.

Kinda wanted to make a wrap for it but didn’t know exactly how to go about it so i kept it a blank aluminum can.

Mid, the chess piece.

Gave it my custom texture so it would look like marble, looks cool with the smoke.
