I worked with a content creator focused on analysis of animated tv shows and movies, along with indie animated projects. Her content is focused on delving deeper into the storylines present within these shows, as well as using visual elements form the shows in order to give her audience a new perspective.
During this project I acted as an advisor and editor, Assisting with video direction and compilation. The main focus of my assistance was on the animations between scenes alongside the titling of the video and thumbnail creation. This aspect of the video worked great, racking up over 100K views in just over 3 weeks, making it one of her most popular longform videos posted.
I designed keyframe animations and transitions to keep viewer attention and collaborated on thumbnail development. We started from a rough basic image and iteratively enhanced it for to make it pop.
This project has resulted in a contact to work together over the summer, where in I will fully take over the editing of her longform content to allow a more frequent upload pattern, alongside allowing her to have more time to spend improving her shortform videos that make up a majority of her posts.
This collaboration sprouted from my knowledge of editing through courses and independent work, and her hobby as a content creator. I have assisted and taught her things before but decided that we should finally actually collaborate, and the result was better than we could have hoped!
