The Buffalo Eight Project.
I grew up in Western New York, worked and travelled extensively, and returned to Western New York. Last year, I transferred to Canisius College as a senior and I earned a Bachelors in Science degree in Digital Media Arts.
When I was growing up, Buffalo was known for cold weather, chicken wings and four consecutive Super Bowl losses. Since I have moved back, I have noticed a movement of local efforts toward urban revitalization and sustainability. Local organizers, business owners, artists, preservationists and community members are working to create lasting positive change in the area. I see nonprofit groups focusing on sustainable business, alternative transportation, urban farming, community ownership and local investment transforming Buffalo into a model of innovation. Buffalo also has a growing arts community, a diverse population and its undeniable pride in the City.
The Canisius Earning Excellence Program.
As a student in the Digital Media Arts Program, I was very lucky to have the opportunity to be selected for this opportunity to showcase my design skills. I would like to thank my academic adviser, Professor Ben Dunkle for agreeing to be my mentor, and for his guidance.
