My original plan was to design a project around local food in the city (Buffalo Ate); but this expanded to include areas of interest in the city. Buffalo is rich with history and architecture. During the turn of the century, Buffalo grew significantly as a result of immigration and the construction of the Erie Canal. This growth provided fresh water and an strong trade route to the Midwest.
Buffalo’s economy has transitioned to service industries with an emphasis on healthcare, research and higher education.
