DMA 217: Project 3

  1. What did you learn?
    • I learned a lot about components, variables, and animated overlays. It was fun to add more advanced functionality to my prototype
  2. What was easy?
    • It was easy to set up the basic functionality of the prototype, as we had already gone over how to do so in previous projects. Because of this, I was able to add more advanced features.
  3. What was challenging?
    • I had a bit of trouble trying to figure out some Figma peculiarities with animated overlays. I discovered that you could only have one on screen at a time.
  4. How could your submission be improved?
    • I only added directions for 5 locations. I could improve my project by adding in the rest.
  5. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
    • I think this was a very good assignment. It allowed us to be creative with what app prototype we designed.
  6. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
    • I will definitely continue to use Figma to plan out prototypes. My project workflow will now always start with Figma.
  7. How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
    • The graveyard walkthrough was very helpful for inspiration. I was able to come up with the AR walking directions based on that.
