- During this project I had learned how colors can be used to set a mood. The mood being represented by the artwork can easily be altered by a slight shift in tone, tint, or saturation of a color. I also learned how different colors can appropriately compliment others in order to truly show the mood the artist wishes to present to the viewer.
- The easiest part of this project was picking the colors from the wheel to create the color scheme frame/artboard.
- The most challenging part of this project was using the new tools to, not only create the images on each artboard, but to add color and contrasts to show the proper characteristics in each image.
- My submission could be improved through further use of color schemes, and more so, added practice with the use of designing tools, which were not as highly prioritized in this project as making sure the color schemes were correct.
- In the future, when I can easily decipher colors that compliment each other best and in what images to use these colors, I do believe that I can create better artwork.
- Future assignments should be much easier for me as there is not as much of a learning curve in finding and using these “new to me” tools.
- I started my studying of this kind of artwork through the demos presented in class by the professor. I also returned to Smashing Magazines website as I found it to be the easiest external source to find what I was struggling with and eventually fix it. This added knowledge and inspiration from Smashing Magazine allowed me to have a complete recognition of what was being asked for in the project, allowing me to finish it with very few questions.
