Little Jack Horner
Sat in the corner,
Eating his Christmas Pie;
He put in his thumb,
And pulled out a plum,
And said, “What a good boy am I!”
Reflection Question
- Through our first project I learned how to convey a story through both abstract design as well as a more realistic approach as well as the importance of symmetry and tangent lines.
- I think that the easiest part of the project was deciding how I wanted to design the story and what symbols I would use to do so.
- The most challenging part was being aware of tangent lines, as I often tend to forget about them. Also, Figma is still a fairly new program for me, so just figuring out how to work on it could be difficult at times.
- I think my submission could be improved upon by trying to use a wider variety of symbols,. And of course I’m sure there are some issues with tangents that I have overlooked, that could be improved upon.
- I think I could improve the assignment for the next class by, as I mentioned in #4, just being more aware of tangents.
- I keep mentioning it, but being aware of tangents is really important in design, so just having practice with it and becoming more aware could be very helpful in the future.
- Rather than a reading or video, what really inspired me for this project was the lectures and being able to see what my classmates were able to come up with. Through that I was able to pick up a few tricks that I utilized during this project.
