Reflection Questions
- Through this project I further learned how to create an image using Figma as well as creating cohesive images using specific color schemes.
- Personally, what I found to be easy during this project was figuring out the color schemes I would be using. This is because I feel like we’ve been practicing with color for quite a while now.
- I think the most challenging aspect of this project for me was trying to create dimension within the landscapes. Even though I tried to alter the darkness of some layers, it still comes across as two dimensional. Another thing I tend to struggle with is tangents because it is a new concept to me so they tend to just slip right by me.
- I think my submission could be improved by changing some of the colors I used for certain color schemes because I noticed in all four landscapes I used the color orange. Also, I think the spacing on the extraterrestrial landscape could be better, however every time I tried to alter it, it still looked off.
- I could improve the assignment for the next class by continuing to practice with Figma so I am more comfortable with the program.
- The knowledge I gained during this project will be useful very frequently as I believe color schemes are very important in any aspect of art/design, so it is a very useful skill to have.
- Throughout this project I actually watched a few videos on color schemes and it inspired me to decide which type of color scheme I would be using for each landscape.
