EXERCISE 2- COLOR SCHEMES
For this project, we learned about colors and as a result, had to express 4 main types of color patterns.
What did you learn?
I learned a lot about the significance of color and how it impacts how we feel and the reason and methodological choosing of certain colors in the real world. For example, in advertising. Additionally, I also the difference between warm colors(Red, Orange, Yellow, etc.) versus cool colors(Blue, Purple, etc.)
What was easy?
The easy part was coming up with the landscape itself because it was simple for me to navigate basic shapes to create a landscape.
What was challenging?
The most challenging part for me was trying to make sure colors blended well together and making sure I followed the color schemes we were given.
How could your submission be improved?
My submission could have been improved by challenging my artistic mind and really pushing my imagination to it’s limits. By that I mean, exploring and experimenting with the shapes and colors like some of my fellow peers.
How could I improve the assignment for the next class?
You could improve the assignment for next class by having us learn how to use Figma and Illustrator to create the illusion of 3D shapes to really push the boundaries and potential of our skills.
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
I might apply my knowledge in future assignments and work scenarios by focusing more on color schemes and choices of color because each color influences an individual. Therefore, from learning how color impact’s us I can be more deliberate with picking colors for my next assignment or work scenario to express the full satisfactory of my work and/or assignment.
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
Honestly, my peers work really inspired me because it displayed how I could push my work to it’s limits. Plus, there work demonstrated things I could do in Figma that I thought I could not do before. For example, making fish hooks is a prime one!
