Humpty Dumpty By :Makhi Love

● What did you learn?

-In this Project I learned that creating nursery rhymes or projects in general can be very complex yet simple at the same time. Like for instance when I started this project I over thought it but when I asked for help from the professor he used the most simplest tools that I was using as well but I didn’t look at the project from a broader perspective, but after he showed me I became more confident and more driven in creating my nursery rhyme.
● What was easy?

-In this project some aspects like using many shapes and line segments were pretty much the easiest for the project just because using shapes are easy and lines as well.
● What was challenging

-At first the concept around the whole project was challenging, what I’m basically trying to say is that finding a focal point that would make my project standout was very difficult. Such as using contrasted colors like black snd white to give the image a basic but strong look towards it if that makes sense. As well as the shapes being constructed/twisted around because I pretty much couldn’t find a abstract way to do it until I took time out to actually watch the video on Humpty Dumpty to give me some ideas on how to interpret it better.
● How could your submission be improved?

-I believe it can be approved with more comfortability. I think having more of that will help me out a lot. For example people who are in my class already know how to use the tools and have complex views on how they want to attack their projects when I really don’t because it is my first time ever taking a class like this.
● How can the professor improve the assignment in the future?

-I believe one improvement he possibly could make on the upcoming projects is a present day for projects like these and have the students say why they chose it and explain every step used and have them interpret the project in their own point of view.
● How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?

-I will apply myself more in upcoming projects simply because I know I have what it takes to get an A in this class. As well as me putting more time and effort into these projects because when I do that the grades I get always are very high and I’m usually very proud of that.
● How did a specific reading, video or example inspire or help you?

  • In class my professor records the class and sends it to us every class so if we missed a class or didn’t really understand something he basically helped us out by making a recording that showed everything he did and explained in class by emailing it to us. That helped me out a lot especially because I’m new to this digital media arts world I suppose.
