At first I wasn’t sure what rhyme to go with , I just started doing random shapes until something came to mind.A bridge falling apart formed, so I decided to do London bridge is falling down, a familiar nursery rhymes to most children. there are some dark undertones to this rhyme, and I tried to incorporate those elements into the Gestalt panels. The first three panels show the bridges destruction into the deadly raging river. The next three show the bridges rebuilding. I tried to maximize the use of negative space in order to tell a story, with a black background representing death and the river with a white background meaning land and safety. The transition from chaos to order , represented by the scales is done with the Gestalt principles primarily contrast color. This was my first real Figma project, and it was a great way to get familiar with a new program. If I could improve something, it would be the composition of the first square, it was really just a testing ground to get the ball rolling, so I think it looks a bit “off” compared to the rest.
