- What did you learn? I learned how to use words in an effective way to symbolize something. I also learned that it wasn’t as easy as it seemed when I first read the directions.
- What was easy? The easy part of this project was picking a word to go with for the project.
- What was challenging? Something that was challenging was trying to arrange the words in the correct way. There were many instances where the type just wouldn’t look the way I wanted even after scaling and positioning it. It was also a challenge to make the gradient in the center stand out.
- How could your submission be improved? I think my submission could be improved by making the gradient more noticeable as well as making the text a bit smaller.
- How could I improve the assignment for the next class? I think the assignment was very interesting and was very well laid out.
- How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios? I could use the skills I learned from this project to create a project for a client. In particular a project that primarily uses type to get its message across.
- How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you? A video that inspired me was YouTube video. It was about Star Wars so it got me thinking what if I did this typography project on it.
