What a journey this was . Interning at Buffalo State College was huge honor . I did accomplish a lot , my experience there was great . I was able work so much with football and soccer team . It helped me improve my photography skills especially being able to work alone ; but also being supervised when it would be time to turn my work in.
The in class activities were also fun and very much engaging . I was able to meet new people in class which is always a good thing . It also helped me focus on the major components of an internship and processes of getting a good job later in life.
This internship helped me become confident in my work , especially being given the role to direct and shoot a video. When I did the “Thank you” video with all sport teams involved I was able to lead and create it all on my own. That was a great experience especially as a photography and video editor that I am . I would really encourage someone else to at least sign up for an internship . It is important plus it helps you understand and actually figure out what you want to do later in life.
I wish you all well and I hope you did learn something from your internship journey .
This project was a fun and especially being able to choose whatever country of your interest so I was able to choose my country Rwanda. I learned a lot on organizing the images in order to create a more eye catching stamp. People usually purchase stamps that are well presentative.
What was easy?
Placing an image was very easy , and also trying to use color corrections in order to blend all the colors in.
What was challenging?
What was challenging was making sure that I find the best images that could fit each category.
How could your submission be improved?
My submission could improve if I do take more time to do it . It has been so hard to have enough time to complete some assigment but I do try my best to manage.
How can the professor improve the assignment in the future?
The professor is straight forward but with this assignment I missed some parts where it would explain even more on how to improve my stamps.
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Overall , I would apply this in future by maybe creating my own stamps just for fun to see how it goes. This could also help me with the idea of finding out if I want to learn it more.
How did a specific reading, video or example inspire or help you?
I did follow up with the lecture videos and I also did review some of the other work from the past students. I did learn from them and it gave me a better idea on how to create my stamps as well.
This project was fun and challenging at the sometime because I wanted to have the best image to match the metaphor that I used “Love is blind”. I did not know in figma we can insert images and work on their colors and more. I learned also how to insert certain icons using Iconify.
What was easy?
The part that was easy to be honest was uploading the image into my frame . I also found to easy to add the icons using iconify .
What was challenging?
What was challenging was trying to create the exact meaning using images . Making sure that my image does go with the metaphor .
How could your submission be improved?
My submission could improve if I do take more time to learn the lecture step by step . It has been very difficult for me to attend zoom meeting because of travels and work. But, other than that I will find ways to get on these assignments ahead of time for feedbacks.
How can the professor improve the assignment in the future?
The professor is straight forward and I do understand his material really well. He makes sure that we understand every little detail about the assignment .
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Overall , this could really help me as a photographer and videographer . I do edit images using. photoshop or Lightroom and with this assignment it was kind of similar to it.
How did a specific reading, video or example inspire or help you?
I did follow up with the lecture videos and they were straight forward. I also did review some of the past work from the students that took this course such as Manny Ramirez learned from their work.
This project was a fun one and I did learn so much when it comes to being able to use contrast in a way to make things more appealing to the eyes. I did learn different ways on how to basically create an image using figma.
What was easy?
The part that was easy to be honest is the city , outta space and the sea those were more easy because I was able to just do them on my own without really looking to follow up with the video. Most importantly is moving forward with more practices , I would definitely become very good in color project.
What was challenging?
What was challenging was that making sure that the colors on the outer space box were organized and more appealing . Making the planet image look sharp did take me some time . But, eventually I got it.
How could your submission be improved?
My submission could improve if I do take more time to learn the lecture step by step . With time being so short and working so many hours this summer it kinda makes it difficult ; but I will make sure to keep pushing and hopefully I do get enough time for the next upcoming project.

The professor is straight forward and I do understand his material really well just by the way he teaches .
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
Overall , this could really help me as a photographer and videographer I do color corrections and edit pictures . Not only using my knowledge I do have in photography to better myself in this project . I am also learning from it moving forward. I really enjoy these kinds of design projects, so this knowledge will always be useful for any other design project.

This project was really interesting especially having to be my first one it did teach me patience . Basically , the only way to work and better create a story using different items such as a star symbol , sphere , or even rectangle or triangle it all requires patience. I was able to also learn how to become self tough especially since this is an online course so everything is basically on me.
What was easy?
The easy part of this project was just dragging the shapes and trying to turn them into an art work . Copy and past was also easy and a great was to make sure that I duplicate my shapes in order to create an identical image .
What was challenging?
What was challenging to be honest was coming up with the sketches and trying to find a better way to tell the story through images on my own.
How could your submission be improved?
My submission has a lot to improve honestly , especially with it being my first time learning about the gestalt principles . Next time ,is to make sure that I understand the basics steps on how to create a more compelling story , and making sure that it being that meaning to it so that the audiences can follow up with no issues.
How could I improve the assignment for the next class?
I could improve my submission well by basically asking questions and attending some zoom meeting . It is hard to attend them due to work schedule and so on but I will be able to that next time .

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
I enjoy learning more about graphic design as a photographer, a videographer and even me being able to learn how to create logos and more ; I can use that knowledge to better understand on how to create a story using gestalt principles .
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
I was able to look at the reading “Gestalt principles applied in design” by William Craig . The reading was straight forward with the clarification of all the 6 important principles of gestalt such as proximity , similarity , pregnant , symmetry , common fate and even closure. It did also have some clear and understandable examples of design that he was able to do to better explain the design process.
I learned how to actually be able to use MAYA software for the first time ever. I have never used this application and I was excited due to the fact that it was actually fun and more organized than I thought.
What was easy?
The easy part of the project was making my own chess pawn , rendering , moving it around , zooming in and out and most importantly just saving my final project. I have to be able to just work with it more in order to be more comfortable. What was challenging?
The challenging part of all was the part where I had to create the spikes on the pawn , also being able to utilize the hypershading tool. How could your submission be improved?
My submission would improve more if I did have enough to work on it . I do have other things to do , I just try my best to fit everything into pieces. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
The professor has been helpful, the videos for class instructions and also working with us step-by-step with the assignments have been really helpful and organized. How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
I would be able to apply my knowledge by actually trying an assignment alone before actually watching the videos which shows step by step process.
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
The video did help me a lot. It made most of the work easy and how the professor would walk through everything step by step was really helpful and it did help me actually understand it more.
I learned first how to create my own Logo using my initials which I can add onto my business card or even clothes for my own brand. What was easy?
Making a business card was the easiest part of this whole project , I was able to do that in less time , compared to the begining of the whole project.
What was challenging?
The most challenging part of the project was trying to create a good-looking initial design basically by having the letters blend into one another. How could your submission be improved?
I actually think this project I was able to use as much time as I did. Last project I was fed up with other class assignments which basically did stress me out a little with just less time on my hands to be able to complete it with less struggle. But, I believe if I continue on using my time wisely I will keep on improving going forward.
How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
The professor did actually show us how to step by step how to make our projects stand out. I did learn so much, and during the lecture period, all I did was pay attention to everything he showed us and without even looking at the videos that were sent. I did everything from the top of my head.
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
I was able to apply my previous letter designing skills to this project. I remember doing my initials’ design back in high school, so it was pretty interesting.
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
The demonstration videos and also looking throughout the powerpoints did actually inspire me to make up a better design. I was thinking to just do what can be submitted. But, as soon I saw how well and cool the other designs looked, I wanted to give it a shot and try to design my own initials in a cool way too.
I learned how to make my own holiday card. This project was interesting because I did face some difficulties and they actually did teach me so much to not give up till something is fixed completely. I learned how to write in the front and back of the card creating two different are board. I was able to learn how to add a new font onto my computer itself which then I used google fonts to do that.
What was easy?
It was easy inserting images, especially in the beginning when I was able to place embedded image and just placing it on one side of the card itself. Adding effects to my words was very easy, also changing fonts and moving things around from one artboard to another. What was challenging?
Drawing a perfect circle with the anchor point was very challenging, and also I did have some difficulties having to print a card with color , but I did get it later on. How could your submission be improved?
My submission can be improved by practicing more and more and also being able to ask more questions when I am stuck at some point. How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?
