What did you learn?: I learned about filmmaking/video editing software and processes.
What was easy?: Capturing footage was easy. I decided to film everything and anything, this gave me options to use in my video.
What was challenging?: Editing the film on Adobe Premiere was difficult because there is so much going on within the software. Making the animations was difficult, too, because it is so meticulous.
How could your submission be improved?: I could have done a better job at editing. Maybe some more interesting transitions and shots would have helped. However, my emotion was “relaxed” so if you put too much in the video, it will not feel relaxed.
How could the professor improve the assignment for the next class?: Maybe slowing down the tutorials and walk-throughs would help. There is a lot to learn on these programs.
How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?: Being able to create and edit videos will help me in my career, as I am an IMC major and it is not too far out there to think knowing how to use these programs would excel me forward.
How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?: Reading the class instructions on how to create the video helped.
