dma217 project 3 reflection

  • What did you learn?
I learned how to use videos in Figma to show information about a subject. Most of this project made me use newer elements in Figma that I wasn’t familiar with before. I also learned how to use the prototype feature more and more effectively alongside this new information.
  • What was easy?
It was easy, once I learned the feature in lab 6, to add the videos I wanted to add to the assignment. It was also easy enough to come up with a design and colour scheme.
  • What was challenging?
It was challenging navigating the prototypes like I wanted them, and also adding the components to the video effectively; making them work how they were supposed to. That probably took me the longest amount of time.
  • How could your submission be improved?
My submission could be improved by using more components instead of playing it simple and just using frames for the infographics. For the data information, I could also have used the tool that was demonstrated in class rather than opting for creating my own from scratch.
  • How could I improve the assignment for the next class?
Maybe allowing more time to work on the assignment. I feel like I was short on time doing this assignment, just because I wasn’t familiar with the tools on Figma like using components and stuff like that. Either spend more time learning that and getting used to it rather than jumping right into it as a final project.
  •  How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
I can apply the video aspect of the assignment, knowing how to apply and edit videos in Figma and using Adobe Premiere.
  • How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
I think I mostly went off of class demos and off of the one PowerPoint shared.

STEPS OF PROJECT:
