Business Card Lab

For this lab assignment, I leaned how to make and design a business card. Specifically, I learned how to design a card, thinking about text, the invisible square rule and color.

What was easy: It was fairly easy to copy and paste my monogram into the board, as well as fill out all the necessary items.

What was hard: Unfortunately, I couldn’t manage how to make my card look unique and interesting. Eventually I managed to tinker with the text and color the outline using a border, but it was difficult, especially because I never worked with Figma before.

Work in Progress

How could your submission be improved: Unfortunately, I feel as though I could have been more creative, but otherwise, I feel as though it looks good!

Final Progress

How could the professor improve the assignment: Honestly, I like how the lab was incorporated in with the monogram lab. It makes both labs more unique.

How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios: Fittingly enough, I could make many business cards and hand them out to individuals in the future.

How did a specific reading assignment inspire or help you: Personally, I simply looked at what the professor suggested, with adding color and changing the text font, and I tinkered with them. Eventually I struck the polished tone I was looking for!

In conclusion, this business card lab was great, as it combines the monogram lab in order to make it useful. It is an ultimately useful lab that I will use in the future.
