Craiglist has to be the most bland and out of date site ever. This did encourage me to create a new set up. In the desktop version, I noticed there was a lot of white open space and centering all the content in the middle. Also there was a lot of listing information similar to college databases. This is intimidating and does not provide the user a course of action. I do not think this appears natural. In my design, I attempt to use all space and create a more inviting environment. I made buttons to show users how to use the website.
Web Design
During the last few weeks in Digital Media Arts, we have been focusing on web design. I have come to like coding. In the near future, I will enroll in a web design class to better my skills. Professor Dunkle has made a very clear lesson and has given his students a strong sense of what web design is. With the help of Professor Dunkle’s lessons and inspiration from sketching, I was able to create my monogram, below. I have noticed my sketches were better than what was created. I would like to learn to use the software well enough to recreate an idea exactly how I see it on paper. However, the resume I wish I knew more coding language to make it what I wished.
