For this project I decided to depict Tokyo, Japan in four unique stamps. The four aspects that I wanted to depict were sushi, the Sensoji Temple, the electronic industry that defines Tokyo, and the Olympic Games. My favorite stamp of the four would have to be the electronic industry one because of the cool vector images I was able to get off of Envato Elements. I really liked the font that I was able to pick out for the Japanese style text, it is called, “a-arigatou-gozaimasu”, I feel that it goes with the sans serif font that I chose to use called, “Swansea”. Overall, I enjoyed making all of the stamps because they allowed for me to explore Japanese culture and figure out things that I otherwise would have never figured out. The part where I faced most of my difficulty was alignment, more specifically, where to place everything so that each stamp was unique.
