Project 1: Portfolio

Pictures:

Here are some of my favorite pictures that I took

Reflection:

  • What did you learn?
    • I learned how to effectively edit photos to make them look presentable and how to present them in three different forms; normal size, thumbnail, and print. I also learned how to manipulate the look of a picture through the “levels” and “curves” adjustment tools.
  • What was easy?
    • It was easy to edit all the photos, upload them to our web portfolio, and it was easy to make them be able to be in print format.
  • What was challenging
    • It was challenging when taking photos to make sure the quality was good and the settings on the camera were correct so I can have decent photos to edit.
  • How could your submission be improved?
    • I think my submission could be improved if there was another area in my house that gave me enough natural sunlight to take photos so, not all of them had the same background.
  • How could I improve the assignment for the next class?
    • I do not think there is anything that can be improved on your end.
  • How might you apply your knowledge in future assignments or work scenarios?
    • I will apply my knowledge of what I learned in the future with how to overall; edit photos so they look good and how to have them be presented in print and digital format. I feel like my editing skills improved with this project because I took the time to go in and change the little things that I normally wouldn’t be able to change with a quick edit on my phone.
  • How did a specific reading or video inspire or help you?
    • I was inspired when thinking about what my environment has been for the past year. It has been my room and has only been my room. I wanted to show some of my favorite things/things that have brought me comfort or kept me busy this past year.
