Project One: The Halloween Card

September 19th 2019

I finally finished it! My Halloween card is finally complete and I am super excited about the way it came out.

Learning how to create this card was a fun and difficult process. There was a lot for me to learn and I felt that I didn’t have enough time. I learned a lot on learning on mainly the controls of Adobe photoshop. And I found this the most challenging thing for me. Trying to learn and remember all of the keyboard commands and figuring out where these things were on the Adobe program. Another challenge that I found was the magnetic lasso.

Don’t the clouds look realistic?

It might have been the most frustrating thing about this project, but once I got the hang of it I got to use the eraser which made my clouds a lot more realistic looking. The easiest thing for me was know what I wanted to do for my project. I knew what element o Halloween I wanted and how I wanted to convey it.

I wish I would have come up with more things to put into the card instead of having just a cheesy pun and nothing else. That is probably the only thing I would improve on this project. The color pallet goes very well together and the artwork that I used was very fitting.

I do not have any criticism on how to improve this assignment. I find it a perfect fit for people taking this intro class. Definitely beginner friendly. I am actually thinking about using this knowledge that I now have to make all my friends and family members birthday cards.

Overall, I found this project very fun and enjoyable. I liked learning about the joys and challenges of photoshop. I actually enjoy this so much I might just pick it up for fun.
